Municipal Election 2026
The next municipal election in Hesse will take place in spring 2026. Die Linke Limburg-Weilburg is already preparing to run with strong candidates for the city council assemblies and the district council election.
Our Goals
1. Anti-Fascist Identity
Clear stance against the far right: A firm commitment to oppose racism, antisemitism, queerphobia, and all forms of hatred and misanthropy. Fascism is not a legitimate opinion but an attack on democracy.
No cooperation with the AfD: Strict separation from far-right forces, promotion of democratic alliances, and solidarity with victims of right-wing violence.
Strengthening civil society: Expansion and support of anti-fascist education and remembrance work, as well as local memorial initiatives.
Street renaming: Renaming streets with Nazi-related references, honoring local resistance fighters, and promoting an active culture of remembrance.
2. Education and Family Policy
Free childcare: Nationwide, full-day, and free childcare centers with small groups and well-trained staff.
All-day schools & learning support: Expansion of true all-day schooling, flexible childcare hours, holiday programs, and tutoring—especially in structurally weak regions.
More staff & better resources: Improved working conditions, fair pay, IT and administrative assistance to ease the burden on educational professionals.
Playgrounds & community spaces: Renovation and accessibility improvements, creation of open meeting places for families and young people.
3. Women’s Policy and Social Participation
Combating violence against women: Expansion and municipal sponsorship of women’s shelters, prevention programs, and barrier-free safe spaces.
Equal pay: Mandatory gender quotas in administration and businesses, equal pay for work of equal value.
Balancing family and career: Flexible working hours, training opportunities, and more days off for caregiving.
4. Migration and Cultural Diversity
Equal rights for all: Social participation regardless of origin or identity, support for individual integration programs.
Free German-Language courses: Up to C2 level for all people in the district.
Encounters & anti-racism: Support for intercultural centers, safe spaces for refugees, educational programs against discrimination and racism.
5. Participation for All
Expanded petition and voting rights: Democratic participation for all residents, regardless of citizenship.
Accessibility & inclusion: Inclusive political participation, translations, barrier-free access to public institutions.
No privatization of public services: Public administration remains in public hands; re-municipalization of outsourced sectors.
6. Energy and Transport Policy
Renewable energy: Support for local energy cooperatives, use of solar, wind, and biogas; creation of a coordination office for funding advice.
Citizen participation: Municipal heat planning with public involvement and mandatory solar installations on new buildings.
Social-ecological mobility transition: Expansion of public transport, bike paths, mobility hubs, and safe infrastructure; improved frequency (at least every 30 minutes).
7. Social Housing Policy
Affordable & accessible housing: Permanent social commitment of subsidized housing, social quotas for new buildings (30–50%).
Encourage renovations: Equal funding compared to new construction, use of vacant buildings to create housing.
District-owned housing company: Creation and cooperation with municipalities for social housing, housing for apprentices and skilled workers.
Accessibility: At least 10% of all new buildings to be accessible.
8. Health and Care Policy
Health as a basic right: Local, solidarity-based care; municipal responsibility instead of privatization.
Securing medical care: Expansion of municipal medical centers, promotion of health centers, scholarships for doctors.
Strengthening care: Expansion of counseling centers, short-term care, relief for family caregivers, promotion of community-based approaches.
Mental health & prevention: Improved care for children and adolescents, prevention programs, and community nursing.
Public responsibility: Health care under non-profit management, transparency, and citizen participation.

Kommunalwahl 2026
Die nächste Kommunalwahl in Hessen findet am 15. März 2026 statt. Die Linke Limburg-Weilburg bereitet sich bereits jetzt darauf vor, mit starken Kandidat*innen für die Stadtverordnetenversammlungen und die Kreistagswahl anzutreten.
Unsere Ziele
1. Antifaschistisches Selbstverständnis
Klare Haltung gegen Rechts: Entschiedenes Eintreten gegen Rassismus, Antisemitismus, Queerfeindlichkeit und jede Form von Menschenfeindlichkeit. Faschismus ist kein legitimer Standpunkt, sondern ein Angriff auf die Demokratie.
Keine Zusammenarbeit mit der AfD: Strikte Abgrenzung von rechtsextremen Kräften, Förderung demokratischer Bündnisse und Solidarität mit Betroffenen rechter Gewalt.
Stärkung der Zivilgesellschaft: Ausbau und Förderung antifaschistischer Bildungs- und Erinnerungsarbeit, Unterstützung lokaler Gedenkinitiativen.
Straßenumbenennung: Umbenennung von Straßen mit NS-Bezug, Ehrung lokaler Widerstandskämpfer*innen und Förderung einer aktiven Erinnerungskultur.
2. Bildungs- und Familienpolitik
Gebührenfreie Kinderbetreuung: Flächendeckende, ganztägige und gebührenfreie Kitas mit kleinen Gruppen und gutem Personal.
Ganztagsschulen & Lernförderung: Ausbau echter Ganztagsangebote, flexible Betreuungszeiten, Ferienprogramme und Lernhilfen – besonders in strukturschwachen Regionen.
Mehr Personal & Ausstattung: Bessere Arbeitsbedingungen, faire Bezahlung, IT- und Verwaltungshilfen zur Entlastung pädagogischer Fachkräfte.
Spielplätze & Begegnungsorte: Sanierung und Barrierefreiheit, Schaffung offener Treffpunkte für Familien und Jugendliche.
3. Frauenpolitik und gesellschaftliche Teilhabe
Gewalt gegen Frauen bekämpfen: Ausbau und kommunale Trägerschaft von Frauenhäusern, Präventionsprogramme und barrierefreie Schutzräume.
Gleiche Bezahlung: Verpflichtende Frauenquoten in Verwaltung und Betrieben, gleiche Löhne für gleichwertige Arbeit.
Vereinbarkeit von Familie & Beruf: Flexible Arbeitszeiten, Weiterbildungsmöglichkeiten, mehr freie Tage für Sorgearbeit.
4. Migration und kulturelle Vielfalt
Gleiche Rechte für alle: Gesellschaftliche Teilhabe unabhängig von Herkunft oder Identität, Förderung individueller Integrationsangebote.
Kostenlose Deutschkurse: Bis C2-Niveau für alle Menschen im Landkreis.
Begegnung & Antirassismus: Förderung interkultureller Zentren, sichere Orte für Geflüchtete, Bildungsarbeit gegen Diskriminierung und Rassismus.
5. Mitbestimmung für Alle
Erweitertes Petitionsrecht & Wahlrecht: Demokratische Teilhabe für alle Einwohner*innen, auch ohne deutsche Staatsbürgerschaft.
Barrierefreiheit & Inklusion: Inklusive politische Beteiligung, Übersetzungen, barrierefreier Zugang zu öffentlichen Einrichtungen.
Keine Privatisierung öffentlicher Aufgaben: Öffentliche Verwaltung bleibt in öffentlicher Hand; Rekommunalisierung ausgelagerter Bereiche.
6. Energie- und Verkehrspolitik
Erneuerbare Energien: Förderung lokaler Energiegenossenschaften, Nutzung von Sonne, Wind und Biogas; Schaffung einer Koordinationsstelle für Förderberatung.
Bürgerbeteiligung: Kommunale Wärmeplanung mit öffentlicher Mitsprache und Solarpflicht auf Neubauten.
Sozial-ökologische Verkehrswende: Ausbau von ÖPNV, Radwegen, Mobilitätsstationen und sicherer Infrastruktur; bessere Taktung (mind. 30- Minuten-Takt).
7. Soziale Wohnungsbaupolitik
Bezahlbarer & barrierefreier Wohnraum: Dauerhafte soziale Bindung geförderter Wohnungen, Sozialquoten bei Neubauten (30–50 %).
Sanierungen fördern: Gleichstellung mit Neubau, Nutzung leerstehender Gebäude zur Wohnraumschaffung.
Kreiseigene Wohnungsbaugesellschaft: Schaffung und Kooperation mit Gemeinden für sozialen Wohnungsbau, Wohnraum für Azubis und Fachkräfte.
Barrierefreiheit: Mind. 10 % aller Neubauten barrierefrei.
8. Gesundheits- und Pflegepolitik
Gesundheit als Grundrecht: Wohnortnahe, solidarische Versorgung; kommunale Verantwortung statt Privatisierung.
Medizinische Versorgung sichern: Ausbau kommunaler MVZ, Förderung von Gesundheitszentren, Stipendien für Ärzt*innen.
Pflege stärken: Ausbau von Beratungsstellen, Kurzzeitpflege, Entlastung pflegender Angehöriger, Förderung sozialraumorientierter Konzepte.
Psychische Gesundheit & Prävention: Bessere Versorgung für Kinder und Jugendliche, Präventionsprogramme und Gemeindepflege.
Öffentliche Verantwortung: Gesundheitsversorgung in gemeinnütziger Hand, Transparenz und Bürgerbeteiligung.
